Fur Trapper's Tale by Ethan

FUR TRAPPER                                                                                                                                                                   On May 13, 2015 We did a play on a Fur Trapper. It was really fun.  It was about Jean Baptiste Point Dusable's trading post. There were these people in a family of 3 with a mom,dad, and son.  Pierre Louis (Ahmad)liked to set up traps to catch a muskrat,river otter,or a beaver. If he didn’t catch anything he would go hunt. If he didn’t hunt and get anything he would go

home to Catherine(Maeve)and Renault(Nickolai) and go around the fire to warm up or get covered in cozy blankets. Their house was by Jean Baptiste Point Dusable's trading post. Pierre Louis liked to go over there and trade things for stuff that Catherine wanted to decorate her clothing like beads and ribbon. He also traded for things he needed like snowshoes and barrels. He was happy with his belongings and what he had. Jean Baptiste Point DuSable was a very important person because he made a trading post which made it easier for people to settle in the Chicago area.

PJ DAY

We had PJ day! We had made it all the way down the board with our stars. We had to vote on what we wanted to do. PJ day with a stuffed animal won! We all had a great time. We were all so comfortable. I almost fell asleep! Almost everybody brought funny stuffed animals. Everyone looked super comfy.  Our stuffed animals even helped us with our school work!  We described our animals using comparing adjectives and they helped us with our factor rainbows.  It was a fun experience!

Planets, planets, planets

On Monday we go to library. We have been researching about the solar system. We each got a planet. We had to research about our planet. Once we had days of research we finally got to vote for the speediest planet,  wildest temperature  and a lot  of other categories. We're going to have a Solars Awards to see who wins.  Then we got to make a commercial about our planet. We had to do it with expression.  We hope you enjoy them!  Stay tuned to see who wins the Solars Awards.
