On March 18 we had an indoor field trip. We learned all about agriculture. We learned that Illinois grows a lot of different kinds of crops. We played a game and sorted different types of seeds and we sorted them by popcorn, oats, wheats, corn, and soybeans. We learned about what lives on the farm and what the farm animals eat. We learned that the farms give us all the food that we have today. We did an experiment when we poured water and white powder and it started to look like ice, but it wasn't. It was a gel that you find in diapers made from corn!At the end he took out a model of a timeline of what they used on farms back in the olden days and now. We also got a bookmark when Mr B left. We learned a lot!
